By using this registry change fix, you allow yourself to change the mac address (from what I understand). It appears as though while intel doesn't explicitly block changing your mac address, Microsoft by default does. Link: ĮDIT 2: The link above in edit one fixed my problem, so if anyone else has this problem it might help them. Thanks to this program, you can see your MAC address. Thanks!ĮDIT: I found this link that would appear to fix my problem, but I don't understand how to follow the directions (I understand right up to where you save the registry file and with what name). Change MAC Address is a simple tool that lets you change your MAC address with only a couple of clicks. For reference, I'm using a Dell G3 15, with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I have done as much research as I can but I am unable to get this to work. ![]() Well idk if elevated admin account is any different than regular admin because re gular admin is what i have. To do this you must be running with an elevated admin account. ![]() Some network adapters do not support this. The intel option doesn't have a network address property to change (or anything else with the word "address" in it), and the Realtek option has a network address option, but I after changing that to multiple different things both random and attempting to follow the same general pattern as the current physical address, nothing has managed to change my mac address (I'm checking this by looking at physical location, in the wireless section after using ipconfig /all in command prompt, so maybe I'm checking the wrong thing but either way it still isn't changing my mac address). LMiller7 said: The ability to change the MAC address is not universal. One of these is "Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9462", and the other is "Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller". I've tried going into device manager, and there are two options there (there are others but they are Bluetooth, wan, or other stuff that isn't what I'm looking for).
